Baru aja beli buku ini (tersedia buanyak buanget di Aksara)
Belum sempet baca banyak tapi ketika lagi bolak balik gue menemukan teori yang ditawarkan Gladwell bernama The 10.000 hours rule.
Menurut dia, untuk sampai kepada puncak performa, seseorang harus melatih / mempraktekan / bekerja apapun bidang elo selama 10.000 jam.
Misalnya, elo suka bernyanyi… maka elo baru akan sampai kepada puncak performa elo ketika sudah melewati 10.000 jam.
Atau elo suka arsitektur, maka ketika melewati 10.000 jam elo baru akan sampai kepada puncak pencapaian elo.
Ini sangat masuk akal, argumen Gladwell berdasarkan data data yang valid. Bill Gates bisa sukses semuda itu juga bukan karena tiba tiba. Dia sudah ngoprek ngoprek software sebelum dia berumur 10 tahun.
Michael Jordan practiced MORE hours than anybody else in the league. Everybody knows that.
Ditambah dengan jam jam ketika dia bertanding maka masuk akal kalau dia mencapai 10.000 jam dalam waktu relatif singkat.
Katakanlah, gue udah siaran dari tahun 2001…
Kalau dihitung gue siaran 960 jam selama setahun (4 jam sehari, 20 hari sebulan), maka berarti 6720 jam udah gue siaran…
Kalau gue mau sampai ke puncak performa gue maka gue harus siaran 3280 jam lagi yg berarti 820 hari yang berarti sekitar 3.5 tahun lagi.
Hehehehehe
Masih lamaaaaaaaaaaaaa…
Makanya semakin sering orang mempraktekan, melatih atau mengerjakan apapun yang menjadi bidangnya, semakin cepat dia sampai kepada puncak performanya…
Kalau kita pikir pikir lagi… banyak buanget contoh orang orang sukses yang seperti ini…
Jadi, elo mau sukses ngapain?
Menyanyi?
Berbisnis?
Melukis?
Sex?
Hmmm….
