Ini adalah hal hal di balik album pertama gue.
Hal hal yang elo nggak tau.
Anggaplah seperti “behind the scenes”
Sebenarnya tulisan ini lebih terasa maknanya kalau elo punya album pertama gue. Kalau nggak, kemungkinan elo ga nyambung.
Hehehehe
Here we go:
1. Kalau elo perhatiin, di lagu ADA YANG SALAH feat Tompi, ada banyak backing vokal yang rada aneh nadanya dan rada minor.. Itu gara gara ketika gue lagi nulis lagu itu, gue lagi sering seringnya dengerin SORE.
2. KEMBALI TERTAWA adalah lagu pertama yang selesai gue tulis.
3. Pada lagu MULANYA BIASA SAJA feat Angga Puradiredja ada dialog “Anggaaa” “Iya Djiii” .. nah dialog itu, ada 5 versi yang kami rekam. Tapi yang dipilih pada akhirnya adalah versi yang elo dengar. Sejujurnya, setiap versi lucu lucu sampai kami tertawa…
4. Dari 14 lagu yang ada di album, hanya 2 lagu yang musiknya bener bener dibikin dari nol. Yang lain biasanya sudah ada dalam bentuk looping sederhana. Lagu itu adalah DIBAYANG MASA LALU. Ketika kita bikin musiknya, gue bilang “Feelnya kayak lagu SONG CRY-nya Jay Z”. Satu lagi yang dibuat dari nol adalah ADA YANG SALAH.
5. Jauh sbelum gue mulai rekaman dan nulis lagi, di kepala gue sudah ada konsep untuk 2 buah lagu. Lagu itu adalah ADA YANG SALAH dan HIPHOP HELP.
6. Waktu gue nulis BAJAK LAGU INI, liriknya ga bisa rampung rampung karena struktur musiknya yang rada aneh. Sampai dengan hari terakhir rekaman, lagu itu liriknya belum rampung. Gue rekaman jam 10 pagi, lalu stuck. Ketika Jumatan, gue komat kamit sendiri, kembali dari jumatan, masuk studio rekaman, lalu rampung lah lagu itu dalam 30 menit 
7. Lagu NGGAK SEKARANG rada dancy karena saat itu gue lagi dengerin ALL THE GIRLS STANDING IN THE LINE FOR THE BATHROOM-nya N.E.R.D.
8. Banyak yang bilang lirik di lagu ATAS NAMA KEBENARAN (POLISI) sangat berani. Padahal, lagu gue terinspirasi keberanian Jay Z ketika menulis lagu IGNORANT SHIT. Gue terkesima dengan nyali Jay Z berdiri dan melawan semua orang termasuk Oprah dan Russel Simmons tentang rapper yang berlirik kasar.
9. My personal favorite song in PROVOCATIVE PROACTIVE adalah GHOST SONG. Intronya gokil menurut gue. Kalau mau tau siapa yang bikin musiknya, adalah Zoelfadli alias Ijoel Bellamy, bassis gue kalau gue manggung
10. Di Intro YOU THINK YOU KNOW (INDONESIA) feat Gamila gue memanggil nama CURTIS. Banyak orang berpikir itu adalah Curtis Jackson alias 50cent. Padahal itu adalah CURTIS JOHNSON Jr, temen gue yang tinggal di Queens dan kerja di Lehmann. Gue waktu itu pengen pake nama amerika yang jarang di pake di Indonesia. Thomas, James, John, Michael kan ada di Indonesia. Nah nama Curtis jarang dipakai sebagai nama Indonesia. Nama temen gue itulah yang akhirnya gue pake.
11. Video klip pertama gue seharusnya ADA YANG SALAH feat Tompi. Tapi H-1… Satu hari sebelum shooting, pihak Tompi membatalkan karena satu dan lain hal. Akhirnya secepat kilat yang dijadikan klip adalah UNTUK INDONESIA.
12. Shooting vid klip UNTUK INDONESIA dilakukan seharian di sebuah SD daerah tendean…
13. Suara wowowowow Steny Agustaf direkam di studio HRFM. Steny ga pernah bisa diminta datang ke studio rekaman gue. Deadline sudah mendekat dan gue ingin ada kehadiran dia di album. Akhirnya rekaman di HRFM
14. Di lagu DULU DIA BUKAN SIAPA SIAPA, gue bernyanyi dengan ngirung “Dulu dia bukan siapa siapaaaa” .. Bagian itu sebenarnya plesetan dari lagu Ratu .. “Jangan bilang siapa siapaaaaa..”
15. Diantara 14 lagu yang ada di album pertama.. Gue SELALU lupa lirik I KNOW (KAN KEMBALI) ketika manggung. Makanya sekarang sekarang ini, ga pernah lagi gue bawain… kalau gue manggung, jangan teriak teriak suruh gue bawain I KNOW ya ?
NAAAAAAAAHH
Sekarang setelah elo tau hal hal dibalik album gue, waktunya untuk gue mengumumkan secara resmi.
