Ayo tebak itu foto apa?
Itu adalah pemandangan gue setiap sarapan, makan siang atau makan malam di rumah.
Itu adalah tumpukan CD album ke 2 gue 
Jadi, gue hanya produksi 3000 keping utk album ke 2. Dengan bantuan dari Acer dan Acer Aspire Timeline yang mensponsori produksi album.
Dari 3000 itu, 1500 gue dibantu oleh teman teman di remix distribution yang sudah dengan gemilang menyebarkan album gue dari sabang sampai merauke ke toko toko CD seperti DiscTarra, Duta Suara, Beatz, dll.
Kemarin ada 1 orang lapor abis beli album gue di DiscTarra Batam, dan 1 lagi beli di DiscTarra Jayapura !!
Gue berterima kasih kepada remix distribution untuk itu.
1500 keping lagi, gue handle sendiri.
Karena gue ingin belajar untuk bisa menjalankan bisnis musik ini secara utuh.
Untuk yang baca buku gue , mungkin sudah tau bahwa gue selalu memanfaatkan aktifitas bermusik gue untuk belajar bisnis dan marketing secara keseluruhan. Tujuan akhirnya adalah untuk bisnis clothing gue REF Basketball Clothing karena inilah mimpi terbesar gue.
Di album pertama gue mencoba untuk menjual 1000 keping dalam 30 hari dengan memanfaatkan ilmu ilmu yang gue baca. Dengan kata kunci seperti VALUE, NICHE, TRADE UP, dan yg kontroversial DONT MAKE HITS .
Buku itu judulnya HOW I SOLD, bukan WOW I SOLD. Buku itu bukan tentang pamer prestasi, tapi tentang metoda. Hanya SALAH SATU metoda yang bisa dipakai untuk siapapun yang independen dan berusaha untuk menjual musiknya.
Karena beberapa musisi indie lupa untuk menyadari bawah indie musicians bukan hanya independen dalam bermusik, tapi juga dalam berbisnis.
Di album kedua gue berusaha untuk menemukan metoda bisnis yang baru.
Yang tidak konvensional.
Berhubung kita memasuki era digital maka besar kemungkinan di masa depan tidak ada lagi penjualan album fisik. Kalaupun ada , treatment-nya lebih kayak CD sebagai collectible item.
Untuk itu, menjual album lewat internet adalah sesuatu yang gue ingin pahami.
Maka untuk beberapa minggu gue mencoba untuk menyelami sejumlah ilmu
Ngobrol dengan banyak orang, diskusi dengan tim dan menemukan beberapa strategi yang dirangkum dalam sebuah metoda.
Kalau gue berhasil, maka gue menemukan metoda baru untuk musisi independen yang ingin menjual musiknya diluar metoda bisnis konvensional.
Ukuran gue berhasil?
Kalau gue bisa menghabiskan 1500 keping CD jatah gue lebih cepat dari pada temen temen remix distribution menyelesaikan 1500 keping CD jatah mereka
Mereka diuntungkan dengan pemanfaatan toko toko besar. Dan mereka memang udah start duluan.
But i’ve seen the statistics. I read their report.
I think i can nail this.
Gue mencoba memanfatkan jejaring sosial gue yang (relatif) besar.
Kalau gue berhasil, maka SEMUA musisi independen juga bisa berhasil.
Karena gue memanfaatkan sarana yang bisa digunakan semua orang.
Kuncinya, memang ada di cara.
Karena menurut pengamatan gue, jualan online tidak cukup hanya dengan punya situs yang menjual.
Situs tersebut tetap butuh treatment khusus.
“Treatment khusus” itulah inti dari ilmu yang gue sedang pelajari.
