J Flow bilang banyak yang ngomong ke dia “Kok album lo banyak curhat colongannya sih?”
Dia menjawab “Im just giving you the truth…”
He’s right.
Gue juga sering banget ditanya “Kenapa sih curhat colongan? Ngomongin diri sendiri?”
“Kenapa sih albumnya kok elo banget?”
What kind of question is that?
Memangnya ada cara lain apa?
I want to pour myself to my work.
My songs ARE personal.
They ARE all about me.
Isnt that how you suppose to make songs?
Jay Z said “Be very subjective, make it all about you, be on a personal level, and hope people connect to you”
Selalu ada diri kita dalam setiap karya kita.
Apakah itu elo nulis buku, novel terutama, film, lukisan, lagu, dll.
Lah memang seharusnya seperti itu.
Orang kebiasaan mengkonsumsi lagu yang didesain untuk menjual
Yang dibuat bukan oleh yang nyanyi.
Lagu yang tidak ada kedekatan emosinya.
Udah ga jaman bukan?
Ketika elo membuat sesuatu dan elo menuangkan sebagian atau bahkan seluruh hidup lo disana, akan terasa sekali bedanya…

Bill Watterson punya seekor kucing bernama Sprite yang sering menjadi inspirasi tokoh Hobbes baik secara fisik ataupun kelakuan.
Komik diatas dibikin pada hari ketika kucing kesayangannya itu mati.
Dibawah komik tersebut, Watterson menulis “We can always meet in dreams”
Sedih ya?
Ketika kita tahu kisah sejati dibalik sebuah karya… rasanya kita jadi lebih dekat dengan karya tersebut.
Bukankah itu yang diinginkan oleh setiap kreator?
