Kemarin, gue ngemsi untuk acara SMA gue.
Kolese Gonzaga.
Gonz bikin school meeting, dengan begitu banyak kategori.
Dari Menembak sampai Dance sampai Basket.
Denger denger sih, kalau pensi juaranya PL dan TarQ, nah untuk urusan kejuaraan kayak gini, Gonz yang banyak dipuji.
Masalahnya, gue selalu bilang orang bahwa gue mencintai SMA gue, tapi pada kenyataannya gue belum pernah memberikan apapun kepada SMA gue.
I had to give something back to the place that made me.
Maka, ngemsilah gue untuk mereka.
Its a Pro-Bono thing.
Mereka yang lawyer, atau lulusan lawyer yang mungkin kerja di dunia lain 
pasti ngerti istilah pro-bono.
Ketika gue dateng, ada sejumlah anak anak Gonz yang nampak kayak panitia.
Ketika gue tanya di mana gue musti stand by, mereka menunjuk dan menjawab “Ke sana Om”
OM?
Refleks gue nyaut “Wey jangan panggil gue Om dong!”
Mereka kembali menjawab “Weits, Om Pandjiiii angkatan 5! Angkatan tua”
Sebenarnya…
Gue di Gonz angkatan 8.
Yang berarti gue adalah generasi ke 8 yang sekolah di Gonz.
Waktu itu memang Gonz tergolong sangat muda. Baru 8 tahun berdiri.
Dulu namanya Kanisius Selatan.
Trus berubah jadi Gonz.
Sekarang, angkatan paling baru adalah angkatan 22.
SHYT.
Angkatan 8 ke Angkatan 22 jauh bangetttt…
Udah mah 2 digit.
Kepala 2 lagi !
Untuk menambah efek tua lagi… temen gue di SR ITB ternyata sekarang disana JADI GURU!
Lah buseeeeeettt…
Banyak hal dari sekolah gue berubah.. jadi lebih baik… beberapa tidak berubah.
Seperti perseteruan Gonz dan PL.
Entah kenapa masih aja pada berantem.
Mungkin hanya karena unsur historis
Mungkin juga mereka nyaman dengan permusuhan itu.
Sebagai remaja, rivalry itu wajar. Punya musuh dan agresi juga wajar.
Malah lebih baik cuma 1 musunya daripada banyak dan ga jelas wataknya.
Gonz dan PL memang tidak suka tawuran.
Kami lebih senang partai.
1 lawan 1
Dulu jaman gue, kita dateng berombongan, kemudian masing masing ngajuin 3 atau 5 orang…
Its a best of 3 or best of 5 thing.
Abis itu pulang…
Padahal, semua alumni juga tau, setelah lulus PL dan lulus Gonz, terutama untuk yang kuliah di luar kota, anak GOnz dan PL bersahabat.
Sahabat gue banyak yang anak PL.
We think a like.
Selera sama, cara bercanda sama, pola pikir sama, semua sama. Karena itu kita jadi klik banget kalau berteman.
Kalau tau begitu, buat apa berantem dari SMA coba?
But it was fun though.
Ngemsinya maksud gue.
Gue sih santai aja disana.. cela cela’an.. ketawa ketawaan… guru guru gue pada nontonin gue ngemsi dari belakang sambil senyum senyum…
Salah satu guru yang ngegampar gue ada diantara mereka… hehehe
To add more fun to it, pengisi acara pamungkasnya adalah SOULVIBE. One of my favorites.
Sayang gue ga punya foto apa apa dari sana… cuma ada sebuah foto kembang api yang meledak di akhir acara…
Ketika gue mau berjalan pulang… tiba tiba Mars Kolese Gonzaga berkumandang. Dinyanyikan oleh seluruh anak Gonz yang ada disana.
Serentak semua orang.
SEMUA MURID yang jauh ataupun dekat, yang lagi sendiri atau ngobrol berdua menghentikan kegiatan mereka, berdiri, dan mengepalkan tangan kanan dan ditempel di dada kiri…
Semua bernyanyi.
I use to have that reflex.
Gue kemudian berhenti dan ikut bernyanyi.
I still have my pride.
You can call it brainwash or maybe you think its too much.
We call it pride.
And we are proud.
You’d be too of you’re a part of us.
