Critics are always around.
Just like crimes has always been around.
Social Media made em move faster.
Kejahatan yang belakangan ini dikaitkan dengan Facebook betul betul lucu menurut gue.
Apabila media semakin mengkait kaitkan Facebook dalam kasus kejahatan (krn akan naikin rating kalo pake facebook) maka sesungguhnya mereka akan semakin nampak blo’on.
Ini sama kayak misalnya penjahat menculik anak kecil dan dibawa kabur pakai mobil, media menggembar gemborkan merk mobil yang dipakai.
Mobil itu hanya alat untuk memudahkan penculik berbuat kejahatan. Bukan alasannya.
Sama seperti facebook, penjahat itu dengan atau tanpa facebook akan melakukan kejahatan, salah satu alat yang dia gunakan facebook itu.
Harus gue akui, facebook memudahkan si penjahat berbuat kriminal, tapi toh mobil juga memudahkan penjahat juga kan?
Do we see anybody blaming the car?
Tapi lagipula, gue mau membahas kritik.
Daridulu sampai sekarang, kritik selalu ada.
Tapi social media memudahkan orang untuk mengkritik.
Sialnya, banyak orang yang belum pintar menghandle kritik, lalu tiba tiba terbuka terhadap keran yang deras ini.
Baik perusahaan ataupun personal , sama sama terbuka terhadap kritik oleh siapapun.
Blog gue ini, sudah sejak lama menampung kritik orang terhadap gue.
Justru disini gue belajar menerima kritik dengan baik.
Kadang memang (seperti yang diketahui oleh pelanggan blog gue yang setia) gue gagal menerima kritik dengan baik, tapi setidaknya, gue berusaha untuk belajar.
Di blog, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, orang orang banyak yang mengkritik.
Antara mengkritik pemerintah, restoran yang mereka datangi, timnas tercinta mereka, atau presenter yang mereka lihat di TV, bahkan kadang guru sampai teman sendiri kena sasaran kritik.
Kritik memang sangat wajar.
Bagian dari kebebasan berpendapat.
Kritik bukan sebuah konflik, kecuali yang dikritik bereaksi yang berpotensi konflik.
Orang orang pada umumnya pun, belum bisa benar benar membedakan KRITIK dan MENGHINA.
Contoh, kalau gue turun ke jalan demonstrasi lalu berteriak “100 HARI SBY BELUM BISA MENUNJUKKAN KOMITMEN TERHADAP PEMBERANTASAN KORUPSI!” itu namanya kritik…
Kalau gue turun ke jalan untuk demonstrasi dan berteriak “100 HARI SBY TERNYATA MASIH KAYAK >sensor< YANG BAUNYA KAYAK >sensor< DASAR >sensor<
Maka gue bukan mengkritik namanya, tapi menghina.
Walaupun alasannya benar, tapi kalau caranya seperti itu, tetap saja salah.

Didirikan oleh Russel Simmons (not the hiphop mogul) dan Jeremy Stoppelman, YELP menjadi sebuah situs jejaring sosial yang diperbincangkan banyak orang.
Banyak perusahaan yang reputasinya baik karena situs ini, tapi banyak juga yang runtuh.
Kalau memuji kadang bisa seperti ini “Perusahaan A benar benar luar biasa. Pelayanannya ramah dan produknya juga bagus banget”
Tapi kadang pujiannya juga bisa begini “Gue suka banget datang ke restoran A, soalnya pelayannya roknya pendek banget dan >sensor< -nya gede banget. Me likey”
Kritiknya pun sama, kadang bisa seperti ini “Sebaiknya jangan cuci mobil elo di perusahaan C, soalnya airnya kotor dan masih tersisa kotoran disana sini”
Sampai kritik yang seperti ini “GUE OGAH DATENG KE TOKO BUKU D!! PELAYANNYA BAU! ITEM KAYAK AIR GOT!”
Sampai saat ini, kontroversi terhadap YELP tidak kunjung usai.
Orang masih memperdebatkan batas kritik yang baik dan benar DAN jujur.
Tapi coba kita tinggalkan ranah mengkritik dan mulai memikirkan di kritik.
Chances are, during ourlife time, we are going to be criticized on something.
Bagaimana cara kita menghandle kritik?
Gue juga ga tau pasti, tapi satu hal, menyerang balik apalagi dengan bentakan (walaupun kita dalam posisi yg benar) tidak akan membuat keadaan lebih baik.
Karena memang kadang kadang kritik itu diungkapkan tanpa benar benar memahami kasusnya secara utuh.
Dan ketika itu terjadi kepada kita, wajar saja kalau kita berkeberatan dengan kritik itu
Apalagi menurut gue, kalau ada yang mengkritik kita, selama masih dalam ambang kewajaran, sebaiknya kita memberikan tanggapan balik.
Salah satunya adalah supaya yang mengkritik itu tahu benar benar keadaannya.
NAAAAH masalahnya, kita juga terbiasa kalau udah tau bahwa kita benar, kita langsung menekan balik.
Menyerang balik. Dengan modal “Ah, gue yakin gue benar kok, dia jelas jelas salah”
Membentak hanya akan memberi pihak yang mengkritik pembenaran.
Menanggapi kritik memang harus benar benar hati hati. Santai. Tenang.
Kalau kita belum tenang, jangan hadapi dulu (setidaknya itu cara gue)
Paling bener adalah kayak kita memperlakukan pajangan nenek kita
