Dengan asumsi bahwa yg membaca blog gue adalah orang yg paling tidak sudah kenal dengan gue (baik dari karya gue selama ini, ataupun dari membaca posting posting gue), maka perkenankan gue berbicara terbuka.
Harapan gue, ga ada yang menangkap tulisan ini dengan pikiran buruk.

Beberapa teman dari Bandung menanyakan kabar gue setelah terdengar kabar banjir.
Ada yang bahkan ngomong begini “Nyesel kan lo tinggal di Jakarta?”
Pertanyaan yang sangat aneh bagi gue.
Berhubung penasaran akan dasar pertanyaan dia, gue memancing balik dengan “Kenapa emangnya?”
Kemudian muncul kalimat berikut ini
“Disana dimana mana macet, waktu lo abis di jalan, pengeluaran tinggi banget, hidup lo ga nyaman, parno, takut telat, takut macet, takut ditilang, takut banjir, takut kehilangan pekerjaan, takut kalah bersaing… hidup lo ga tenang disana… di Bandung? Pekerjaan buat elo pasti selalu ada.. dan walaupun duitnya ga sebesar di Jakarta, tapi pasti akan cukup untuk tinggal di Bandung yg ongkosnya ga sebesar di jakarta… dan disini, tenaaang…”
Ditutup dengan kalimat “Gimana? Nyesel kan pindah ke Jakarta?”
Jawaban gue saat itu singkat “Nggak”
Tapi ga mungkin buat gue menerangkan balik alasan kuat di balik kata “nggak” tersebut.
Mungkin siih, tapi males.
Hehehehe
My take is…
MENYESAL adalah sifat PECUNDANG.
Boleh untuk kita menyadari kesalahan kita, dari sanalah kita kemudian belajar.. tapi MENYESAL?
Gak akan.
Menyesal hanya akan mengisi hati kita kelak dengan ketakutan.
Langkah kita kelak akan meragu.
Karena kita begitu kuatir apa yang pernah kita sesali akan kembali.
Pola pikirnya beda dengan orang yg sudah sadar akan kesalahan dan berniat tidak mengulangi lagi..
Beda di mentalitasnya.
Gue nggak menyesal sama sekali pindah ke Jakarta.
Padahal sedihnya gue mungkin sama banyaknya dengan senengnya gue.
Sementara di Bandung memang banyakan senengnya.
Artinya, Jakarta memang tempaannya lebih besar daripada Bandung.
Tapi di benak gue, itu bukanlah sebuah masalah.
Justru itu sebuah berkah, sebuah peluang.
Sebuah kesempatan.
Bagi gue, ga ada keris yang ga ditempa.
Kalau mau bikin Keris yang harus ditempa.
Mau bikin Keris yang bagus? Harus ditempa dengan lebih niat.
Mungkin juga bahkan ditempa dengan lebih lama.
I believe, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger.
Kita, umat manusia adalah kerisnya.
Kita adalah besi yang ditempa.
Bukan kita yang memilih mau ditempa atau tidak.
Sang Empu yang mengambil kita diantara batang batang besi yang lain
Dengan pertimbangan yang mungkin hanya Sang Empu yang tahu.
Kita hanya bisa terima ketika tempaan datang kepada diri kita, dan bersyukur bahwa kita yang dipilih.
Along the way, be patient, be strong.
Ketika tempaan selesai dan kita dicemplungin ke air, panas itu disiram dengan dingin , kita tidak lagi jadi hanya sekedar besi… kita adalah keris.
