Jadi di Belitung gue nginep di hotel yang ga ada TV kabelnya…
Ga masalah sebenarnya utk gue karena gue menyibukki diri untuk menulis
Tapi gue tiba tiba kepikiran saudara saudara gue se-Indonesia yang tidak punya pilihan lain, selain TV lokal.
Ketika gue berpindah dari satu channel ke channel lain, gue tidak mampu menemukan tayangan yang sesuai dengan yang gue mau.
Isinya pada jam 20-21an adalah sinetron, lawakan TV, film kelas C dan dialog politik yang ruwet.
Gue baru pulang kerja jadi gue ingin sesuatu yang menyenangkan.
Ga pengen pusing, dan ga pengen (tepatnya ga bisa) ketawa melihat orang yang melawak dengan menghina atau menyakiti orang…
Kalau gue punya kabel, maka gue tinggal switch ke HBO, Starmovie, Starworld, ESPN, Starsports atau yang selalu jadi andalan, History channel, Discovery channel, Travel and Living, NatGeo, atau kalau mau senyum senyum absurd ada cartoon network atau playhouse disney kalau ga mau pusing.
Tapi yang tidak punya kabel, terjebak pada tayangan yang menjemukan…
Polanya seperti kebaca.
Pagi pagi musik “live” , siang siang gosip atau berita, sore sore gosip atau sinetron, malam malam sinetron atau film..
Kemanakah pilihan kita?
Gue sebenarnya pro pilihan.
Pro keseimbangan.
Belakangan ini, keseimbangan itu yang tidak ada.
Waktu JavaJazz Festival hari pertama ramai akan tweet ga ada sinyal GPRS atau 3G. Hari kedua gue datang dan tidak merasakan apa apa. Gue lalu ngetweet dari sore sampe malam.. mungkin ada belasan tweet saat itu. Lalu gue bilang orang orang bahwa sinyal ga ada masalah kok di JJF. Orang orang yang tidak datang dan bilang sinyalnya ngaco gue kounter dengan jawaban “Enggak kok, gue bisa bisa aja ngetweet”
Lalu seseorang menyahuti saya dari jalur pribadi dan bilang “Elo pro amat sih sama JJF? Kerasa banget ngebelainnya?”
Gue menjawab “Gue bukan pro JJF, gue pro yang gue anggap benar… Saat itu, gue ga merasa ada masalah apa apa. Sementara tweetnya sama sekali ga imbang. Yang beredaran adalah masalah sinyal GPRS yg hilang. Faktanya tidak seperti itu, maka yang gue lakukan adalah memberikan pilihan”
Kalau gue diam, maka informasinya akan timpang. Gue hadir dengan tweet2 gue untuk memberikan pilihan. Dan pilihan itu benar adanya. Sehingga kalau orang liat hashtag #JJF ada yang bilang sinyal bermasalah, ada yang bilang tidak. Itu baru adil.
Orang orang juga kesal dengan TV dan koran yang beritanya buruk semua.
Lalu apa yang mau kita lakukan? Ngomel doang? Ngomel ga akan merubah keadaan.
Yang bener adalah yang dilakukan @GNFI atau http://goodnewsfromindonesia.com yang memberikan pilihan untuk orang menyeimbangkan berita buruk yang dia liat di TV.
Demokrasipun sudah mulai keliatan usaha untuk menyeimbangkan pilihan. Awal tahun 98 sampai mungkin tahun 2007an kita hanya melihat demo dari satu sisi. Sekarang kalau ada demo anti SBY tiba tiba ada juga yang demo pro SBY… hehehehe
Itu sih yang kayaknya dibutuhkan orang orang di Indonesia.. pilihan.
Sebenarnya kita bisa jadi penyedia pilihan itu.
