I have a favourite saying before every big project I run.
“SAVE THE COW”
Sebuah filosofi yg terus terang gue lupa dapet dari mana
SAVE THE COW intinya bercerita bahwa kalau kita sedang di jalan dan bertemu dengan sapi yang tenggelam di pasir hisap, hal pertama yang harus dilakukan adalah menarik sapi itu dari lumpur tsb, baru berpikir kenapa sapi itu bisa kecemplung, baru kemudian berpikir bagaimana caranya kita bisa menjamin sapi itu tidak kecemplung lagi ke pasir tsb.
Kalau kita sibuk saling menyalahkan atau sibuk panik dan mikir apa yang terjadi, sapinya keburu tenggelam.
Analoginya adalah, kalau kita ketemu masalah, tangani dulu, baru kemudian mikir kenapa masalah itu bisa terjadi, baru berpikir bagaimana caranya agar itu tidak terjadi lagi.
Seringkali orang keburu habis energinya memikirkan hal yang tidak mendesak, paling tidak, tidak lebih mendesak daripada menyelesaikan masalah tsb.
Fokuslah pada hal yang benar, yang sangat esensial.
So as always,
