Double standard.
Mahasiswa selalu minta perubahan.
Tapi nggak mau merubah metoda mereka menyuarakan aspirasi.

Dari tempointeraktif.com: Di Makassar, puluhan mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah, Makassar, melakukan aksi protes atas rencana kenaikan bahan bakar minyak (BBM) tahun depan. Aksi itu berlangsung di depan kampus Unismuh, Jalan Sultan Alauddin, Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, Selasa (21/12).
Para mahasiswa juga memprotes kebijakan pemerintah Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono- Jusuf Kalla menaikkan harga elpiji sejak 19 Desember lalu. Aksi protes dilakukan dengan membakar ban-ban bekas di tengah jalan
Setelah melakukan orasi di tengah jalan, puluhan mahasiswa ini juga menyandera sebuah mobil tangki milik Pertamina yang mengangkut bahan bakar minyak. Aksi itu menyebabkan kendaraan yang melintas di tempat itu hanya bisa berjalan merambat.Dari indomedia.com: Sementara di Jakarta, aksi mahasiswa menolak kenaikan harga BBM di depan kampus UKI Jl Diponegoro, Jakarta Pusat berakhir rusuh. Puluhan mahasiswa bentrok dengan aparat kepolisian, hingga mengakibatkan beberapa orang terluka di kedua belah pihak.
Bentrokan ini terjadi pada pukul 17.25 WIB, Jumat. Mahasiswa dari Jaringan Kota (Jarkot) yang tengah memblokir Jl Diponegoro, Jakarta Pusat dibubarkan polisi. Para mahasiswa tidak terima, kemudian melakukan aksi lempar kayu dan batu ke polisi. Saling lempar batu dan kayu antara polisi dan mahasiswa pun tak terelakkan.
Awalnya polisi berhasil mengejar mahasiswa hingga masuk kampus. Namun, karena jumlahnya sedikit, tak lama kemudian mahasiswa balik mengejar polisi. Merasa posisinya terancam, para polisi berlari ke arah pertigaan Salemba, untuk meminta bantuan.
Tak lama kemudian datang puluhan polisi bermotor dan langsung menyerbu kerumuman mahasiswa yang berada di Jl Diponegoro. Dengan tembakan ke atas dari atas motor, petugas berhasil memaksa para mahasiswa masuk ke dalam kampus UKI.
Meski sudah terdesak masuk kompleks kampus, para mahasiswa masih melakukan lemparan batu dan bom molotov dari dalam kampus. Akibat bentrokan ini, Jl Diponegoro macet total. Kendaraan yang menuju Salemba dialihkan melalui Jl Proklamasi.
Dari suarakarya-online.com: Sedangkan aksi di Kawasan Wonokromo, Surabaya, malah nyaris ricuh. Ratusan massa yang mengatasnamakan BEM Surabaya terlibat aksi saling dorong dengan polisi.
Di Indramayu, demonstran saling dorong dengan polisi. Akibat bentrokan, dua mahasiswa Universitas Wiralodra terluka di bagian kepala setelah dipukuli petugas keamanan.
Kondisi serupa juga terjadi di Samarinda. Keributan antara mahasiswa dan polisi pecah di depan kantor Gubernur Kaltim setelah demonstran memblokade Jalan Gajah Mada. Mahasiswa juga memaksa Gubernur Kaltim Yurnalis Ngayoh menandatangani surat pernyataan menolak kenaikan harga BBM.
Sementara di Ternate, Malut, aksi demo berakhir rusuh. Lima mahasiswa ditangkap polisi karena dituding sebagai provokator.
Di Jember, Jatim, ribuan mahasiswa dan sopir angkot merusak pagar kantor bupati karena merasa aspirasi mereka tidak didengar Bupati Muhammad Zaenal Abidin Djalal.
Di Yogyakarta, ribuan mahasiswa dan elemen masyarakat kembali turun ke jalanan. Aksi ini diwarnai dengan pelemparan tomat sebagai simbol dari kenaikan harga kebutuhan pokok. Aksi digelar di depan gedung Istana Kepresidenan di Gedung Agung Yogyakarta dan gedung Pertamina. Selain berorasi, sebagian massa ini melakukan pelemparan tomat ke Gedung Agung.
Kemarin diskusi di blog ini juga menyatakan tidak semua mahasiswa kalao demosntrasi berakhir rusuh.
Memang mungkin tidak semua. Tapi seperti yang bisa dibaca, BANYAK yang berakhir rusuh.
Sekali lagi mohon dipahami (kepada para mahasiswa yang gue tau membawa blog gue)
GUE TIDAK SETUJU DEMONSTRASI KARENA MENURUT GUE SEHARUSNYA MAHASISWA BISA MENEMUKAN METODA PENGGANTI DARI DEMONSTRASI.
Bukannya gue ga setuju dengan menyuarakan aspirasi rakyat.
Bukannya gue ga setuju membela kepentingan rakyat.
Tapi seharusnya ada metoda baru!
METODA BARU!
INOVASI!
Yang dilakukan mahasiswa adalah MEMBAJAK MOBIL PLAT MERAH. Itu kan dibeli pake uang rakyat lewat pajak!
Uang rakyat dibajak mahasiswa???
Ini adalah tahun yang penting.
2008 adalah tahun yang penting.
10 tahun reformasi
100 tahun kebangkitan nasional.
Tahukah apa yang terjadi 100 tahun yang lalu.
Berdiri organisasi BOEDI OETOMO di kampus STOVIA.
Ini adalah organisasi pemuda pemudi PERTAMA di Indonesia yang berorientasi sosial politik.
Kelahiran organisasi BOEDI OETOMO memicu lahirnya organisasi lain serupa di seluruh Indonesia yang dipicu oleh generasi muda di kampus.
Tahun 1928. 20 tahun setelah inovasi tersebut para pemuda dan pemudi berkumpul di Jakarta dan meneriakkan SUMPAH PEMUDA.
Bayangkan. Tanpa inovasi generasi muda kala itu, tidak akan ada bahasa Indonesia, tidak ada lagu kebangsaan Indonesia Raya yang dibawakan WR Supratman pertama kali pada hari itu.
Fast forward ke masa kini. 2008.
Mengapa generasi muda tidak bisa melakukan inovasi baru?
Kenapa masih menggunakan demonstrasi ketika kita tahu demonstrasi berpotensi kekerasan?
Dan apakah yang pada protes bener bener tahu alasan dibalik naiknya harga BBM?
Tidak tahukah mereka kalau BBM tidak naik justru rakyat akan lebih merana?
“Kenapa? KOK BISA?” Begitu pasti kata para mahasiswa.

Tapi gue yakin setelah membaca itupun mahasiswa tidak akan setuju.
Defensif.
Tertutup.
Double standard.
Terutama ketika meminta pemerintah untuk terbuka.

Kok gue sedih ya?
Mungkin karena siapapun pemimpin yang naik, kelak akan diprotes oleh mereka yang dulu memihak dan memilihnya.

Siapapun yang akan naik setelah ini pasti juga sama. Akan diprotes.
Bukan karena kekejaman dan kelalimannya.
Tapi karena rakyat (mungkin) tidak mengerti apa yang dia protes.
