Gue tau ini telat.. tapi gue baru baca sebuah artikel dari Huffington Post dan jadi kepikiran sama gue..
gue coba ceritakan ulang isi artikelnya pake bahasa gue…
Beberapa waktu yg lalu dunia geger karena seseorang dengan penampilan seperti Hulk Hogan kurus bilang ini bikin hari pembakaran Al Quran sedunia..
Hari pembakaran tersebut akan jatuh pada tanggal 11 Sept 2010. Awalnya gue bingung kenapa milih tanggal itu, pikiran cepat gue berkata “Oh mungkin karena dia merasa penyebabnya adalah Al Qaeda dan Al Qaeda itu Islam.
Terry Jones sendiri bilang Al Quran harus dibakar karena melenceng dari ajaran agama Kristen dan alasan2 absurd lainnya.
Pertama, yg bikin gue bingung adalah bagaimana kok orang ini berhasil memenangkan perhatian media di Amerika serikat.
Krn orang gila kayak TJ di Amerika banyak.
Seorang pastor bernama Pat Robertson bertahun tahun pidato dan bilang bahwa orang orang gay adalah penyebab badai yg melanda amerika (WTF???????) Tapi Pat ga pernah masuk TV.. ga pernah dapet perhatian media..
Lah ini, pemimpin dari hanya 50 umat di sebuah negara dengan jumlah penduduk terbesar ke 3 di dunia, diatas negara kita.
Kenapa kok dapet perhatian gede amat.
Lebih aneh lagi, adalah hari ketika dia (entah gimana ceritanya) bisa dapet perhatian banyak media massa Amerika untuk datang di pressconference yang menyatakan dia batal bakar Al Quran setelah dapet kesepakatan bahwa tidak akan ada pembangunan Masjid di Ground Zero (lokasi robohnya menara kembar WTC)
Aneh karena uda pasti dia bohong atau ngarang atau gila.
Karena TIDAK PERNAH ADA rencana bangun masjid di groundzero.
Ground Zero adalah sebuah titik dimana sedang ada rencana pembangunan gedung baru. Bukan masjid.
Okay anggaplah di sekitgar groundzero, tetep aja nggak ada rencana ngebangun masjid.
Yang ada, adalah rencana Feisal Abdul Rauf dan komunitasnya untuk membangun Community Center yang isinya lapangan basket dan fasilitas umum yang bisa digunakan oleh anak muda dari berbagai agama dan keyakinan. Karena komunitasnya Abdul Rauf mengajarkan bahwa Amerika adalah negara yang menjamin kebebasan beragama dan bahsa setiap umat beragama harus rukun.
Jadi memang dari awal adalah Community Center dan bukan Masjid.
Tapi dasar media massa Amerika, akhirnya tersiar ke seluruh Amerika bahwa akan ada rencana ngebangun MAsjid disitu dan memicu orang Amerika (yg masih trauma) jadi bertanya tanya “Ha? Mau ada masjid disana?”
Akhirnya Amerika geger, padahal di lingkungan sana juga sebenarnya uda ada masjid… ada.
