Pada intinya, ada sesuatu yang membuat sebuah benda dengan fungsi yang sama jadi lebih mahal dengan yang lain.
Misalnya mengapa kasur ini murah, kasur ini mahal
Atau mengapa handphone ini harganya bisa Rp 10 juta sementara yang lain bisa Rp 999.999,-
Diluar hal hal yang jelas seperti bahan, teknologi, biaya marketing yang menempel pada produk, ada sebuah kata lain yang membuat orang MAU menerima harga yang mahal tersebut
Kata tersebut adalah VALUE.
Sesuatu yang justru kita ingin untuk dapatkan diluar fungsi dari produknya itu sendiri..
Misalnya, ngopi Starbucks dan ngopi seduhan rumah.
Jelas harga Starbucks lebih mahal dan memang bahannya (mungkin) lebih baik, yang bikin kopinya (barista) dilatih khusus untuk bikin kopi, tempatnya bersih dan nyaman dengan alunan musik dari musisi jazz ternama.. tapi lebih dari itu, yang kita dapatkan (dan diincar) adalah KEREN-nya beli Starbucks.
Sama seperti beli sepatu Nike dengan League.
Nike lebih mahal dari League, padahal pabriknya (pernah) sama… kualitas bahan, kualitas produksi dari League tidak kalah dengan Nike. League, kalahnya dari sisi value yang ditawarkan kepada pembelinya. Sebuah pekerjaan rumah untuk League.
Sebagai penggemar League (saya memang cuma punya 4 pasang, tapi setelah saya hitung hitung ternyata sepatu saya paling banyak merknya League..) saya berharap mereka akan berhasil kelak.
Nah VALUE adalah sesuatu yang lebih yang kita dapatkan diluar dari yang kita bayangkan.
Untuk memudahkan ilustrasinya, mari saya ceritakan perngalaman saya Menghitung Value pada: Make Up Artist

Yang pasti saya lagi ke-enakan.. pertanyaannya ke-enakan diapain?
Jawabannya, lagi di make up
Kok di make up bisa ke-enakan?
Karena sang make up artist memberikan saya kenikmatan sementara saya didandani
Ini adalah pengalaman saya ketika mau shooting video klip Maliq & D’Essentials untuk lagu mereka “Pilihanku”
Sebelum shooting, saya didandani dulu biar keliatan lebih cakep hehehe
Ketika saya didandani, kursi tempat saya duduk yang adalah kursi biasa saja, ditambahi sebuah alat pemijat otomatis..
Bentuknya kecil, mungkin lebarnya sama dengan lebar punggung kursi, alat itu disangkutkan dengan senderan kursi lalu setiap kali alat itu tertekan oleh punggung kita, alat itu secara otomatis bergerak.
Enak banget.
Sambil didandani, dipijit pula!
Lalu kaki saya, diberi penghangat..
jadi, udah mah punggung dipijitin, kaki dihangatkan, lalu ditawarin minum pula!
Sebagai orang yang sudah akrab didandani oleh make up artist dari tahun 2004, saya belum pernah dan sampai hari ini tidak pernah lagi ketemu dengan pengalaman serupa.
Mungkin orang seperti itu tidak banyak. Itulah justru yang menjadikannya menarik.
Dia lalu menunjukkan orang orang terkenal yang pernah dia dandani..
Hhehehe nampaknya dia sedang mempromosikan dirinya kepada saya.
Menarik sekali. Make Up Artist yang paham pemasaran..
