Pagi ini, twitter gue rame.
@assegaf bercerita bahwa beliau dapat kabar dari distributor majalah Tempo di sebuah daerah, majalah Tempo edisi yang harusnya rilis hari ini diborong habis oleh oknum (yang belakangan dicurigai polisi karena saksi liat plat mobilnya adalah mobil polisi)
Memangnya ada apa sih di Majalah Tempo tersebut?
Ternyata isinya tentang rekening perwira tinggi polisi yang besarnya jauh dari kewajaraan
Kabar ini langsung gue retweet dan tersebarlah berita itu ke ranah twitter
Bahkan sampai masuk detikcom..

Tempo Edisi ‘Rekening Gendut Perwira Polisi’ Dicetak Ulang
Polisi terpojok karena dianggap berusahan untuk menutup nutupi kebenaran.
Tapi semakin lama, ternyata semakin tersebar berita bahwa majalah tempo masih bisa ditemukan dimana mana..
Banyak yang masih bisa beli di beberapa tempat. Gue ke Kinokuniya Plaza Senayan juga masih berjibun.
Lalu? Mana yang katanya diborong polisi?
Gue pribadi punya penjelasan tersendiri.
Menurut gue, kepolisian sebenarnya tidak berusaha untuk ngeborong habis supaya orang nggak bisa baca.
Karena :
1. Sampai berapa banyak sih mereka akan beli? Memangnya semua distributor se Indonesia mau diborong? Memang mampu?
2. Kan ada versi online-nya?
3. Toh masih tersedia tidak hanya di kota kota selain Jakarta, di Jakartapun masih banyak tersedia.
Lalu apa penjelasannya?
Begini penjelasannya, dulu, waktu gue pernah ngerjain event, ada sebuah kejadian yang tidak mengenakkan. Seorang wartawan hancur kameranya karena terdorong kemananan. Wartawan itu mengancam akan memberitakan perlakuan penyelenggara acara lewat tulisannya.
Kabar itu, sampai ke kuping gue dan EO, kuping brand yang punya event, dan kuping agency brand tersebut.
Malamnya kami rapat sama sama, lalu pihak agency meminta kami dari EO untuk langsung buru buru beli koran tersebut pagi pagi dalam jumlah banyak dan dibagi2kan kepada seluruh pihak brand yang datang ke Bandung (tempat acara) lalu dibagikan kepada semua orang agency yang hadir dan semua orang EO lokal.
Kita semua harus pegang satu satu lalu akan rapat untuk menentukan pesan apa yang akan kami rilis stelahnya.
Sekarang kita kembali ke kasus kepolisian, kalau elo kerja di kepolisian, lalu elo tau Tempo akan merilis ulasan utama tentang korupsi di badan kepolisian, mungkinkah elo akan mengalami hal yang sama seperti yang gue alami sebagai EO?
Mungkin saja kan kepolisian pusat mengutus satu polsek atau apalah untuk beli banyak pagi pagi lalu dibagikan kepada seluruh jajaran kepolisian yang terkait atau akan berkaitan dengan ulasan itu.
Bukan supaya yang lain ga bisa baca, tapi supaya mereka bisa baca…
Lha abisnya masih tersedia dimana mana kok? Mana yang katanya diborong biar ga bisa dibaca masyarakat?
Tapi bisa saja gue salah
Bahkan besar kemungkinan gue salah
Tapi gue nulis ini supaya ada pandangan yang berbeda aja.
Supaya ga timpang beritanya
Just for the sake of argument.
Ada versi yang elo tau.. dan ada versi gue..
PS: mau tau kelanjutan kisah EO tadi? Ketika kami beli koran tersebut, ternyata tidak ada 1pun artikel yang menjelek2an acara kami. Walaupun memang acara kami akhirnya tidak diliput di koran tersebut It was a false alarm afterall
