Gue mau menuliskan isi pikiran gue beberapa hari ini
Setelah kesekian kalinya, seorang remaja nanya “Mas Pandji mau jadi caleg nggak?”
Gue jawab “Sejauh ini nggak kepikiran”
Terus terang, gue rada enggan.
Gue punya seorang sahabat yaitu Tere yg menjadi anggota DPR
Beberapa waktu yang lalu gue mewawancara dia di Provocative Proactive dan dia bercerita layaknya seorang sahabat bertukar cerita
Kesan yang gue dapat dari Tere adalah bahwa menjadi anggota DPR sangat melelahkan dan sangat memakan waktu.
Kerjanya? Rapat dari pagi buta hingga pagi buta lagi.
Makanya jangan kesel kalo kita lihat bapak bapak tertidur ketika rapat.
bayangkan kalau umur elo 55 tahun, lalu kerjanya rapat dari subuh sampai subuh lagi, lalu besoknya rapat lagi dari jam yang sama… bahkan kadang sabtu-minggu-pun tetap rapat karena rakyat tidak mau menunggu akan datangnya keadilan sosial
Rapatnya berjam jam ngomongin apa? Ya ngomongin hal hal yang selama ini dituntut oleh rakyat.
Pendidikan, kesehatan, kesejahteraan, dll
Anggota DPR kerjanya membuat undang undang.
UU itulah yang akan membantu menciptakan perubahan.
Gue mau menekankan disini:
Gue sama sekali tidak kehilangan harapan kepada para anggota DPR
Sama sekali tidak
Gue sangat optimis terhadap anggota DPR
SELAMAAAA…
hehehe
Selama para pemilih juga memilih dengan benar.
Kekuatan rakyat dalam memilih wakilnya sangat sangat kuat.
Sayangnya, banyak rakyat yang ga terlalu sadar itu
“Wah sama sama lulusan UI, gue pilih dia ah”
“Gue pilih perempuan ini aja ah, sama sama perempuan”
“Hmmm pilih yg mana yaaaa? Ah ibu ini aja ah, mukanya kayaknya masih asli nih, belum operasi” (percaya sama gue, ada yg kayak gini. Gue kenal banget malah)
“Hohohoo, marganya sama dengan gue! Ah, kupilih dia sajalah!”
Alasan alasan orang memilih wakil rakyatnya masih sangat sangat dangkal.
Pilihlah orang yang kita mau untuk jadi pemimpin kita dan mewakili kita disana.
Apakah ada orang seperti itu?
PASTI ada.
Wong gue aja ada yg minta kok..
Yang kita harus lakukan adalah, dalam waktu kurang dari 5 tahun ini lihat benar benar keluar dan cari orang yang menurut kita pantas, terpercaya, berprestasi dan layak jadi pemimpin.
Kita punya kurang dari 5 tahun untuk mencari.
Kalau kita telah menemukan, kita tanya apakah dia mau jadi anggota DPR.
Naah, masalahnya adalah apakah orang itu mau atau tidak.
Disini dilema gue…
Pernah dengar istilah “Lions for lambs?”
Itu adalah lelucon satir orang Jerman kepada Amerika.
Seorang perwira jerman melihat kekuatan perang Amerika Serikat dan berkata “Saya tidak menyangka ada begitu banyak singa yang dipimpin oleh biri biri”
Kurang lebih artinya adalah, tentaranya gagah berani tapi dipimpin oleh orang yang lembek dan tidak seberani tentaranya…
Anggota DPR jadi nampak seperti itu.
Orang orang terbaik di Indonesia seakan menghindar dari ajakan untuk menjadi anggota DPR.
Dengan anggapan bahwa menjadi anggota DPR akan membuat mereka tidak produktif, tidak bisa berkarya, tidak bisa mengembangkan keahlian, bakat dan passion-nya
Sehingga orang orang terbaik ini (yang sebenarnya tidak merasa harus jadi anggota DPR karena punya pilihan lain) akhirnya mundur dari pencalonan, memberi ruang untuk orang orang lapis kedua, ketiga bahkan mungkin keempat terbaik.
Akhirnya, Lionsnya tetap jadi rakyat biasa (tentara) sementara Lambs-nya menjadi anggota DPR (pemimpinnya)
Kalau sudah seperti ini, terjawab sudah pertanyaan orang orang di Indonesia yang mempertanyakan kualitas anggota DPRnya
Salah anggota DPR?
Sama sekali tidak.
Karena tidak ada yang maju, maka mereka memilih untuk maju. Masih bagus ada yang maju untuk jadi anggota dewan. Bayangkan kalau tidak ada yang mau!?
Apakah salah para Lions yang tidak mau maju?
Entah juga.. adalah hak mereka untuk maju atau tidak.
karena untuk Lions, ini bukan masalah uang.
Hidup mereka adalah masalah pencapaian.
Mereka kuatir, mereka tidak bisa mencapai passion mereka apabila mereka gabung jadi anggota dewan.
Lalu sampai mana siklus ini akan usai…

Saya sendiri masih bingung..
Walau saya tidak merasa sebagai Lions, sayapun masih menolak apabila diajak maju dan mencalonkan diri
Entah mengapa, rasanya masih lebih nyaman menjadi bagian dari rakyat..
Daripada menjadi…
Wakil rakyat.
